PROBLEM STATEMENT:

GPSL is a leading technology organisation with a portfolio of cutting edge product solutions. The internal team have spent significant time revising their mission and vision statements to be more aligned with their current state of business, though none of this is reflected on their current website. Users who come to GPSL organically can recognise that the organisation is well established though they have a hard time trying to find the information they seek, and getting in touch with the appropriate person. GPSL’s current site was complicated and unintuitive, and users have difficulty finding what they need. The objective is to keep things as simple but smart as possible.

Shakewell approached this project with three objectives.

Brand | The representation of the GPSL brand needed a shakeup. We needed to design the website in a way which communicated their brand, vision, and mission.
UX/UI | The new site should have a simple UX which guides you to easily find the solutions on offer. We needed to find a way to bring to life what GPSL does in a dynamic way. Essentially we needed to make something somewhat ‘boring’ appear enticing.
Lead Gen | The site needs to work efficiently as a lead generation tool. It was important to create pages that enable GPSL to create gated content, integrate with Zoho forms but ensure the forms look/feel the same as the website, integrate with live chat, and enable the creation of customisable campaign landing pages...

SOLUTION:

To achieve all of these objectives we first did an extensive user journey discovery where we mapped out an entirely new journey for users, one which is far more intuitive and simple. The website was then designed in a way that we could have stand out text blocks to help emphasise key statements of the GPSL vision and mission. This design style using bold block text is also a far more modern approach in comparison to their former site, and we implemented a dark/light option for users as well where they can toggle depending on their preference.
Being a very content heavy site, we ensured that we always had priority focus on the importance of page load speeds, to ensure a fast and seamless user journey.
The site itself was built on wordpress, allowing GPSL to have control over dynamic content and campaign changes.
