We are listed as a service partner in Maropost's partner directory, and we work where Maropost meets Shopify: Retail Express retailers whose Shopify connector leaves gaps, custom integrations against the Retail Express APIs, and Neto stores moving to Shopify. We also connect Shakewell Wallet, our own Apple Wallet and Google Wallet platform, to Retail Express, Maropost Commerce Cloud and Maropost Marketing Cloud. Our core platform is Shopify, with three Shopify-certified developers on the team.

Where we help

Retail Express and Shopify, without the gaps

Maropost's Shopify connector syncs products, customers, orders and stock, and its own documentation lists what it leaves out, including order comments and tracking numbers. We add the missing pieces as a small service beside the connector, so the connector keeps doing its job. Getting Shopify order notes into Retail Express shows how that works.

Custom Retail Express integrations

Retail Express has a REST API, now at version 2.1, and the older SOAP Web Store API that Maropost still supports. They do different jobs: the REST API's order endpoints read but do not write, so anything that changes a sale goes through the Web Store API. We pick the right one, sort out the licences and credentials with you, and build in retries and alerts so a failed sync is never silent.

Neto to Shopify migrations

Neto, now Maropost Commerce Cloud, runs more than a website for most retailers: marketplaces, wholesale price groups, kits and POS. Each needs a home on Shopify, and every URL needs a redirect. What to plan for when moving from Neto to Shopify.

Keeping Retail Express in store

Moving the website to Shopify does not have to move the tills. Maropost's Retail Express Shopify connector, licensed separately, keeps products, customers, orders and stock in step, so the shops keep running on Retail Express while the web store changes.

Shakewell Wallet with Maropost

Shakewell Wallet is our own Apple Wallet and Google Wallet platform for loyalty, membership, event and coupon cards. We connect it to Maropost for each client through Wallet's REST API and webhooks. It is set up for you rather than switched on, so the first step is agreeing which customer data drives each card and when it updates.

What the Retail Express Shopify connector covers

From Maropost's own documentation as of October 2026. Check it against your account before planning around it, because licences and settings vary.

Synced

Products, customers and orders, and stock levels through event-driven synchronisation. Fulfilment flows from Retail Express back to Shopify.

Not synced

Order comments made online, and tracking numbers. Both can be added beside the connector without replacing it.

Licensing

The connector needs its own Shopify Connector licence from Maropost, and installs on the store as an unlisted Shopify app.

Common questions

Are you a Maropost partner?

Yes. Shakewell Agency is listed as a service partner in Maropost's partner directory. Our core platform is Shopify, with three Shopify-certified developers, so we focus on where Retail Express or Neto meets Shopify: integrations, the gaps between them, and migrations.

Does the Retail Express Shopify connector sync order notes and tracking numbers?

No. Maropost's overview of the connector lists order comments made online as not synchronised to Retail Express, and tracking numbers are not synced either. Both can be added with a small service that runs beside the connector, so you keep it rather than replace it. How the order notes fix works.

Can you build a custom Retail Express integration?

Yes. Retail Express has a REST API, version 2.1, accessed with an API key the retailer generates, and an older SOAP Web Store API that Maropost still supports. As of version 2.1 the REST API's order endpoints only read, so anything that writes to a sale, such as comments, goes through the Web Store API, which needs Maropost's Web Services Interface licence. Which one a job needs depends on whether it only reads or also writes.

Does Shakewell Wallet work with Maropost?

Yes. Shakewell Wallet is our own Apple Wallet and Google Wallet platform for loyalty, membership, event and coupon cards, and we connect it to Retail Express, Maropost Commerce Cloud and Maropost Marketing Cloud for each client, using Wallet's REST API and webhooks. Yes. Maropost sells a Retail Express Shopify connector, licensed separately, that keeps products, customers, orders and stock in step between Retail Express and Shopify, so the tills do not have to change with the website. Do you work with clients outside Sydney?

Our head office is in Sydney and we work with clients across Australia (Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and regional NSW included) as well as in New Zealand, where the duty free stores across the major airports have run on a platform we build and support since 2021. Delivery has been remote-first for years, so a project runs the same way whether you are ten minutes away or across the Tasman: scheduled calls, a shared board you can see at any time, and one named point of contact. We are happy to meet in person in Sydney.
