Quark Publishing Platform partner in Australia

We are a Quark and Quark Publishing Platform (QPP) partner for Australia and the USA. We sell QPP licences, implement it, connect it to the systems around it, and support it in Australian business hours. The Australian Energy Market Commission's regulatory documents are produced on QPP, which we implemented. In the USA we work through Shakewell LLC.

What we do with QPP

QPP licences

Buy Quark Publishing Platform through us in Australia or the USA, with implementation and support from the same team, so there is one party accountable from licence to go-live.

Implementation

Content model and schema, templates, roles and approval workflows, set up around how your organisation reviews and signs off documents. QPP accepts any XML schema and lets authors work in Word, PowerPoint, Excel or the browser, with the XML generated behind the scenes.

Migration from Word and PDF

QPP can break existing Word and PDF documents into reusable components. We design the content model first, so what comes out of the conversion is worth reusing rather than the same documents in smaller pieces.

Integration

QPP has open APIs and SDKs, Microsoft 365 integration and a Power Automate connector. We connect it to the systems that hold your product data, rates and approvals, so documents are assembled from the source rather than retyped.

Demos, training and support in your hours

Demos, training and support in Australian business hours from our Sydney team. US organisations are looked after by Shakewell LLC, our US entity, in US hours: start at shakewellusa.com.

Product disclosure and financial services documents

Quark positions QPP for regulated financial content: fund factsheets, prospectuses, compliance reports and fund commentaries, assembled from approved components with audit-ready workflows. In Australia the same approach fits Product Disclosure Statements, target market determinations and Financial Services Guides, where the same product facts have to be right in every document that uses them.

Up to date in every document

A PDS must be up to date when it is given (Corporations Act s1012J). Approve a fee or rate clause once as a component, and every document that uses it updates from the same source.

Shorter PDS limits

Under the Corporations Regulations, a shorter PDS is capped at eight A4 pages for superannuation and simple managed investment schemes, and four for standard margin loans, with a 9 point minimum font. ASIC RG 168, reissued in December 2025, sets out how it applies them. Templates can hold to those limits instead of leaving them to a final check.

Target market determinations

Under the design and distribution obligations, a product cannot be distributed without a public target market determination. TMDs and PDSs share product facts, so they can share components and change together.

An audit trail for sign-off

QPP keeps version history showing who changed what and where, with approval workflows by role. That is the evidence a compliance sign-off needs, kept with the content rather than in an email thread.

Regulators, rule-makers and technical documentation

Australian Energy Market Commission

AEMC's legal and policy teams produce regulatory documents on QPP in the browser, with automatic PDF, DOCX and HTML output and no XML specialists needed. The AEMC case study.

Legislative agencies and legislative bodies

We have built a custom extension to QPP NextGen specifically for legislative agencies and legislative bodies: Git-style branching for document management. Drafters branch a bill, rule or amendment from a point in time, work independently, and merge back with automatic conflict detection, at document and component level. Regulatory and legislative publishing.

Technical publications

S1000D, DITA and specification-driven documentation, migration off legacy tooling, and delivery portals. Technical publications and structured content.

Secure delivery

Version-critical documents delivered to exactly the right readers, with SSO, role-based access and watermarking. Content Portal.

The proof

Work we have shipped, not a capability deck.

Common questions

Are you a Quark partner in Australia?

Yes. Shakewell is a Quark and Quark Publishing Platform partner for Australia and the USA. In Australia we sell QPP licences, implement it, integrate it with the systems around it, and support it, so one team is accountable from licence to go-live.

Do you support QPP customers in the USA?

Yes. We are a Quark and QPP partner in the USA as well, through Shakewell LLC, our US entity, which licenses, implements and supports QPP in US hours. US organisations should start at shakewellusa.com.

Can QPP produce Product Disclosure Statements?

Yes. QPP assembles regulated documents from approved, reusable components, with approval workflows and version history, and outputs print-ready PDF and web formats. For a PDS, templates are built to the shorter PDS rules in the Corporations Regulations, as ASIC sets out in RG 168, including the page and font limits. Note that the PDS for a financial product is prepared by its issuer (Corporations Act s1013A). Advice firms that are not also issuers more often produce their own Financial Services Guides and hand out the issuer's PDS.

Is Quark Publishing Platform cloud-based?

Quark describes QPP as a cloud-based platform, sold through Microsoft Marketplace and running on Microsoft Azure. Hosting region, single sign-on and security requirements vary by organisation, so we confirm them for your deployment before anything is signed.

Do you have a QPP solution for legislative bodies?

Yes. We have built a custom extension to QPP NextGen specifically for legislative agencies and legislative bodies. It adds Git-style branching to document management: drafters branch an instrument or amendment from a point in time, work independently, and merge back with automatic conflict detection, at document and component level, so parallel drafting no longer means reconciling copies by hand. Ask us for a demo with one of your own instruments.

Can you demo QPP in Australian time?

Yes. We run QPP demos, training and support in Australian business hours from Sydney, and in US hours through Shakewell LLC. Bring a real document you produce today and we will show it in QPP.

What is the difference between Quark Publishing Platform and QuarkXPress?

QuarkXPress is Quark's desktop design and page-layout software. Quark Publishing Platform is its content automation platform: structured authoring, reusable components, approval workflows and automated output to print, PDF, web and other channels, for organisations producing high volumes of regulated or technical documents.
